State of Perlis in Malaysia
Amir tells
of a tale involving his aunty’s home in northern part of Malaysia in the state
of Perlis. Her aunty’s house is located at rural area and a cliff and is
heavily forested. The house is also in dead end of a short road. It’s so
secluded that it is a house where only family members will visit.
Amir’s aunty
lives with her 2 young daughters and her late mother and his youngest sister.
His aunty’s husband works overseas in Indonesia and he gets to get back once a
year.
One night
Amir’s aunty was sleeping with her 2 young daughters on their bed when she was
woken up the loud sound of winds. She looked around about her and noticed that her
the curtains was unmoving besides her bedroom’s window was shut. She had on a
lamp and the fire was flickering before the fire was extinguished completely.
She however, she had an old light lamp with an electric bulb which enough to
light her bedroom.
All of a
suddenly a woman with long frizzly and unkempt hair “walked” to her bedroom.
She was dressed in white gown and she looked very angry and kept staring at her.
Amir’s aunty thought she was going crazy and was too scared and terrified to even
speak…she was so frightened that she did
not even prayed!
The ghost (is it a Pontianak) suddenly turned
her back and went through the wall and into the other room. Amir’s aunty
quickly woke her 2 daughters and only realized that the ghost have gone to the
room…her sister’s room. Terrified but she grabbed a broom (a broom is the only instrument available – ha! ha!) and rush into
her sister room – but the ghost was not there, except for her half asleep sister
who was confused about the whole thing.
