Grandma’s Old House
Tanjung Malim is a small town in the
state of Perak in Malaysia. It is approximately 70 km (43 miles)
north of Kuala Lumpur. Actually it lies on the Perak-Selangor state border
A small road in Tanjung Malim
Jackson, his
sister used to lived with their parents at Kepong in Kuala Lumpur. During
school holidays they would go with their parents would drive to their grandma’s
(on his mother’s side) place to Tanjung Malim. His parents would spent a whole
day there and then will spend the next week driving them back to Kuala Lumpur.
His grandma
lived a couple of miles from town in old wooden house. His grandma always told
that they not to use the outhouse (toilet)
at nights which was why we given ‘pots’ if we really had to go. He did think
too much of that and figured that it was one her many requirements.
Days spent
at the grandma’s place were one their happiest time. They spend their free time
with the nighbours’ children playing and roaming about. He also found it very
strange that at only 6 pm the neighbours’ would call their kids to return home.
Actually their grandma does that to them the same thing and they reluctantly go
home.
One night
after dinner, Jackson when to the kitchen to get a glass of water when he
looked through the opened window. He saw a white figure flying by the window. He
was shocked but then he told himself that its’ only a hallucination. He however
did not tell his grandma and his sister about that incident.
A couple of
nights later Jackson heard a terrifying scream from his sister and he rushed to
investigate. He found his sister, with her hands covering her face, looking
through the partially opened kitchen window. She was crying and shivering fright. She claimed
to have seen a ghastly white figure looking through the window. By then their
grandma came over and tried to pacify and calm her granddaughter down.
When they
have calmed down, we asked her about whether her house was haunted. She sighed
then said there is a “dimension of tunnel to the dead and spirits” just outside
of her house. She said that she knew about that since she was a young girl. The
spirits have to go through the tunnel to reach the other side. She also said
again, why we must not go outside at night as we might accidentally obstruct the
spirits!
Do you
believe in the ‘tunnel or dimension where the dead have to travel”? Jackson and
his sister swear that it exist!!!
